Clare Nowalk

Growing up in rural Indiana, Clare always loved being outside. It wasn't until she went on her first hike and backpacking trip while studying Sociology at Ithaca College that she met other young women who enjoyed outdoor recreation and started to dream of bigger adventures. Clare moved to Colorado in 2020 where she began her career in a nonprofit and started exploring mountains. In the summer of 2022, she thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, an experience that inspired her desire to combine her love of the outdoors and community building and led her to New Treks!
